EXTROVERTED INTUITION Extroverted intuitive types are innovative, independent, and impulsive . They are acutely aware of possibilities and perceptive of others. Extroverted intuitives look at the external events and then use them to discern what caused the event, looking beneath it, rather than directly at it. Extroverted intuition looks at the motives behind the behaviors of people and intuits outcomes before the outcome is actually seen. They display an external attitude of expectancy. Where the extroverted sensor tries to achieve a fullness of life by embracing the external world as it is right now, the extroverted intuitive tries to achieve fullness of life by envisioning the widest range of possibilities, which keeps them oriented to the future. They are continually trying to discover new and different avenues in their external world. If an object or individual appears to be the answer to a future possibility, it can take on an exaggerated importance for a time, but can be just as quickly discarded once it has served its purpose. Routine and familiarity are stifling to this type and as soon as boredom sets in, they are off in search of a new possibility. Their capacity to inspire or invoke enthusiasm is unrivaled. However, they can become so busy creating possibilities that they fail to reap the fruits of their own labors. The general demeanor is outgoing and inspired. Supported by thinking (ITfs; C/E), they are independent, innovative, and driven. They love dreaming, scheming, and developing ideas. They see the big picture, but prefer to leave the details to others. They are entrepreneurial risk-takers and are competitive in every area of life. They seek activities that are challenging and inspiring. Supported
by feeling (IFts; E/C), they are the most perceptive of all types.
They read people well and can push all the right buttons. They are excellent
communicators and motivators. They are optimistic and goal oriented.
They love people and can't wait to share their innovative ideas with
everyone, but they can be easily wounded when others do not agree with
their ideas. |
