INTROVERTED SENSING Introverted sensors are practical, realistic, and extremely stable. They are systematic and thorough, sometimes to excess. They are dependable and carry responsibility especially well. Introverted sensors have a great capacity for detail and practical application. They like everything to be factual and clearly defined. Decisions are usually grounded and well thought out (the sensing function seeks details and the introversion provides inner reflection), but their need to analyze everything makes them appear indecisive. They adapt well to routine and are good team-players. They are patient and willing to attend to minor details. They tend to be cautious and will not usually act on impulse. Introverted sensors are keenly aware of their immediate surroundings. They take the external details they notice and internalize them, then use these stored facts and impressions to form unshakable ideas. They tend to rely on past experience to form opinions on present situations. Introverted sensors associate external stimuli with internal feelings, which may result in their seeing more in the object than the object may actually contain in and of itself. Introverted sensation captures the background of the world rather than its surface features. The demeanor is reserved and grounded. When supported by thinking (stFI; O/R), they are logical, decisive, and thorough. They notice every detail and take nothing for granted. They are highly reality based and tend not to make assumptions. Once they have researched and made a decision, it may be difficult to sway them from their course. When
supported by feeling (sfTI; R/O), they are loyal, considerate, dependable,
and very observant. They seek to provide for the common welfare. They
tend to anticipate the needs of others, but may not share their own
needs easily. |
