PREFERENCE CODES

Your preference type is determined by your preferred attitude and functions (those with the highest score on Part 2). The attitudes are extroversion (X) and introversion (N), and the functions are sensing (S), intuition (I), thinking (T), and feeling (F). The preferred attitude and functions are those which are consciously used most readily.

The Preference Code indicates the order in which you tend to use the functions. The first two letters indicate your preferred (or conscious) functions and the second set of letters indicate your unconscious functions (those least used). If the first set of letters are upper case, your preferred functions are Extroverted. If the first set of letters are lower case, your preferred functions are Introverted.

Example: If your function order was T-I-S-F, and your preferred attitude was introvert (N), your preference code would be tiSF. If your preferred attitude was extrovert (X), your preference code would be TIsf.
